MOB is a club that strives to connect motivated students who want to pursue marketing. We value community, growth, and excellence within this club. We are a social and professional club where we ensure that any majors can find a community in this club as well as providing the professional experience and networking that business students strive to get.

During my time in MOB, I have participated in many roles. I've been a participant in the MOBster program, a professional development program, as well as being the Vice President of Marketing, where I was responsible for the social media posts and creating graphics. Currently, I am the Executive Vice President where I play an advisory role as well as helping out VPs and the President in whatever is necessary.

MOBster Program

MOBster Program is a professional development program for underclassmen to be able to have hands on experience in marketing prior to taking their major courses. During this program, I've learned about the different fields of marketing, conducting a case study, creating graphics, and creating a rebranding for Altoids. I wanted to join this program to explore marketing and decide whether or not I wanted to pursue this as my major and career. Throughout this time, I realized that marketing was a passion of mine and that I genuinely enjoy the fact that it combines both the aspects of creativity and business together.

Case Study

Lead Designer & Strategy

A week long case study for us to find a company that could help with the outdated data management system and expanding the platform nationwide. My team and I worked to discover the company best suited to provide a solution, Neustar.  This was also my first case study along with being one of my first experiences in creating professional slides. From this, I've learned to problem-solve as well as how to research, pitch, and market a company.

Rebranding Project

Lead Designer

We were tasked to rebrand Altoids. My team and I wanted to revive Altoids' social media presence and website in order to bring them back to relevancy and to better target the younger generations. The effects of COVID-19 on companies and their marketing strategies has proved that social media marketing is a growing and effective strategy that should be taken advantage of.

Every semester, MOB follows a visual theme that will be used for recruitment and other marketing materials. Since the previous semester, the VP of Marketing had decided on a black and white theme, and since we were going through rough times, I wanted to be able to include color as well as the idea of "making memories." As a board, we wanted to focus on community and I felt as if having a lighter palette could invoke feelings of softness rather than professionaism and intimidation.

As we approached the beginning of the semester, I began to post everyday 10 days prior to first days of classes. I posted executive board highlights to introduce each member. After using Instagram Analytics, I noticed that our followers were active around night time. From this data, I've decided to post consistently at around 6pm. In future posts, I wanted MOB to have a feed that followed the color palette to have students associate MOB with these colors.

Instagram

I kept a consistent feed throughout the entire semester. MOB saw a gain of 45+ followers. To make up for the lack of in person photos due to COVID-19, I decided to use Zoom screenshots to demonstrate the community that MOB has at every event.

I've decided to go for a different vibe this semester and decided to have MOB appear more professional and modern, essentially going back to its roots. As our club grew on social media, I wanted to take advantage of social media, specifically Instagram. I've launched many different campaigns during this semester and increased the amount of graphics and posts to keep up engagement.

In order to balance out the professional mood from the magazine theme, I decided to have our profile pictures/highlights have a lightheartedness aspect added to it. Each executive board was told to include a quote they'd most likely say as well as a short description of themselves.

I also decided to create a cover photo detailing the events we are having for the month and also posting our events as an Instagram post rather than a story. This would make it easier for members to find when our events were.

I've decided to bring back #MOBMonday to create more information for our followers as well as post something that isn't just our events and zoom pictures.

For my last campaign, I created executive board goodbyes as well to help close the chapter for the magazine and for MOB.
